I recently bought a copy of The Virgin Diet. There are so many things in there that really resonate with me. Years ago, I was diagnosed with IBS, but I wasn't given any dietary advice. So, every time I eat, it could flare up. I have suspected all along that I may have food sensitivities and intolerances. I have been hard-headed and I haven't wanted to do an elimination diet. I think it is about time I do one. My suspicion is that I am sensitive to wheat, peanuts, and dairy, possibly eggs, too. If you have been struggling with not feeling right and holding onto or even gaining weight despite your best efforts, you should look into this book, too. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Today is the start of my Kansas Dealz deal. I am nervous and excited about it. I hope there is a good response. There are only 5 slots available. I have an early morning training session with a client at her house today. It's gonna be great! She hasn't worked out with me for 3 weeks; so, I'll go easy on her. :) Taking a long break between sessions really isn't good because exercise capacity diminishes some during the break. The longer the break, the worse it gets. Plus, another client might come along and take your favorite timeslot and day that I cannot hold open in the hopes that you will workout then. So, I recommend plotting out a set schedule of when you want to train with me and get it locked in and commit to it so you don't miss out.

From time to time, even my motivation lags. Having a great session with a client can get me primed for a great workout after our session. But many times, I struggle with the voice that tells me to workout and the voice that says I am too tired. Today, I told my husband that I wanted to workout, but I was feeling unmotivated. He told me to not worry about him having to go to work because I had time to run and shower while he went to pick up our little girl before he had to go to work. I shuffled myself out the door with dread. However, once I took off on my run, I started to feel much better right away! Exercise is really good for the mind and the body. Basically, what I am saying is that you should make it a point to fit exercise into your day, and you will feel really good about doing it. Just give it a chance.
A client signed up for 10 sessions with me today. She called it her Christmas gift to herself. I thought that was really great. The holidays can be a very challenging time when you are trying to lose weight or get in shape. Think about doing something for yourself to make you feel great this holiday season. It is nearing the time for making New Year's resolutions. Every year the #1 resolution people make is to lose weight and exercise more. I have been enjoying my externship so far. I am still looking for personal training clients. I want to help people feel better and look better. Whatever a client's goal is, I want to help him or her achieve it! I will create the exercise plan and dietary recommendations, my clients can just follow my instructions and watch the results take shape. Come on. What are you waiting for? I started my personal training externship on Halloween at Pinnacle Fitness. The address is: 907 SW 37th Terrace, Topeka, KS 66609. It is located off of 37th St. & Topeka Blvd. (behind Sonic). You can find me there Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday during the afternoons from 1pm to 5pm & Wednesdays from 9am - 1pm. The equipment and facilities are great there. Come on in & let's workout!
